My family planned a camping trip up Provo Canyon for the weekend before the big wedding (I've been planning since April). It was probably the worst time, and the best time to go. It was great to get a break from thinking about my "to-do" list. Franks mom let us borrow her trailer, so we were living the life of luxury in the mountains! It was pretty sweet. The first night we set up camp, made tin foil dinners, smores, and just hung out. Kids loved getting dirty with cousins!
The next morning we headed to Mt. Timpanogos. Frank's been wanting to go there for a long time. I don't know why I love pictures of my kids sleeping. Here's one of Carly all puckered out from the night before... I forgot how steep that hike was. The kids did pretty good though - no falls, no crying...success! The caves were cool - haven't been there since grade school.
The next moring, Frank took the boys fishing and shooting, while us girls stayed back at camp to paint nails, do hair, and made up a dance to "Party in the USA" to perform for the guys when they got back. We headed home later that day, and were only about 8 miles from camp when the trailer tire split! Frank used this opportunity to teach the kids how to change a tire. I was a little nervous since it was a narrow street, but Carly made sure she caught everyones attention by waving to every car that passed! We FINALLY got home so I could worry about the wedding again :) It was a nice getaway.
