So, a couple weeks ago my sister Julie, and her husband Shane invited me and Frank to go to the Jazz game. They had tickets for an executive suite hosted by O.C. Tanner. We didn't know it was a networking thing, so when they asked us what company we worked for (for the name tags), we just said "Zion's Bank", which is where Shane works. Anyone that came up to us would say, "so, you work for Zion's Bank". We felt kind of stupid - like the only "nobody's" there. There were about 45 people in the suite. We had fun hangin out with Julie and Shane anyway, and savor every kid-free moment we get.
Anyway, at half time, they had a drawing for a couple door prizes. The first was an O.C. Tanner Jacket. They called out a number, and no one answered for it, so they drew another. It was Frank! We called out a litte whoo-whoo, and collected his prize. They next door prize was a $2,500 Omega watch. They made a big to do about it, and rambled off all the amazing features - 007 even wore it! It's water resistant up to 1000 feet! Titanium! Self-winding! Scratch-resistant, ect., etc. Then they drew my number! Yes. Me and Frank won the only two door prizes. So, now I have this amazing MEN's watch (my friend Dawn says the only good reason to wear a $2,500 watch is if it's covered in diamonds, and you are in a rap video!).
It was an extra score for me because exactly one week earlier, I ran into Frank's car, and I had been in the dog house ever since. Who doesn't believe in HAPPY ENDINGS??
THE END!

I'm totally laughing! You guys are great and SO lucky!
How funny, I can just imagine you trying to avoid answering any quesions about your "job." Tell Frank I want to see him wearing his new watch!
Brad says he will take the watch as payment for creating theprettypetal.com.
jk, congrats, the only thing better than winning the door prize is winning all the door prizes. I am hoping the Jenson luck will rub off on me one of these days.
Good to know we live across the street from the family with all the luck!!!
By the way, I ran into Tom's car in December--so we're both spazzy--only I didn't win a $2500 watch for him to get me out of the dog house!! Ironically, though, he bought a very nice watch a few days later on our cruise ship with my blessing.
You are a lucky girl! Pass some of that to me, k. We're doing another lunch attempt with old student ward buddies Wed feb 4 at the McDonalds on Ft. Union and 900 E at 1 pm if you can come. No one could come last time, so we're trying it again. If you come, bring some of your cute beanies and flowers (: Let Casey know too. xoxo Jess
