Yesterday was our first ballet recital! I say "ours" because I have waited so long to have a little girl, so I could go to her dance recital.
I'm afraid the rest of my family was not nearly as thrilled to attend a 2 hour ballet performance in the middle of their Saturday. Frank met us there, and the boys played their Nintendo DS's in silence. They were good sports, and gave her plenty of attention after.
My sister Stacy, and her little girl Hannah came to watch. Franks parents also came (we neglected to bring them quiet activities...)

If you couldn't tell by the costume, Carly was a duckling. It was A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!! She is in the youngest class, so of course, they were a big hit. They would walk on their tippy toes, then bend down to "wiggle their feather", or as Carly says it, "wiggow my feadows". She practiced that part in the mirror. She was especially excited for the make up. She would ask, "am I so gorgeous now?" I don't think I say that...do I?

She is ADORABLE!!! I love her smile! AND...way to go on the teacher appreciation thing! You did an amazing job! We NEVER had anything that well thought out at the school I taught at! ...Have you heard about a Univ. 1st Ward get-together on Wednesday the 27th??? 6 pm at Murray Park by the ice skating rink, bring your own dinner. Tell anyone else you know! I'd love to see you guys!
She looks so cute! I wish we could have come and seen her! Next time for sure.
Thanks for driving all the way up to see me yesterday it was awesome. You and Stacy were the first people I saw at the end, it was so fun.
Perfect. I've had a swan, a purple party dress girl, top hats, etc., etc., etc. over the years. The fun has just begun!!
