Welfare Square

For one of our summer "field trips", my mom and dad planned a trip for us to take a tour of Welfare Square downtown.  They are stake missionaries in those parts, and thought our kids would like the experience.  It was actually quite interesting and inspiring.  You watch a 20 minute movie talking about the Bishops Storehouse, and all the service that goes on in the church.  After that, a couple sister missionaries took us on a tour through the bishops storehouse, the factories where they make and package food, employment services, and behind the scenes at the D.I.  At the end they have samples of the cheese, bread, and chocolate milk (kids say is "the best ever")

I wasn't expecting to get emotional, but I did!  Go figure.
Thanks for inviting us mom!
