Logan is my shy guy. So, when he told me he wanted to run for student body officer for jr. high next year, I had a quick little panic attack. Actually, with jr. high looming on the horizon, I've had a lot of anxiety. I remember those days all too well. ANYWAY....I smiled and said, "sure, you'd be great"! And he would! He's my self-motivated, driven, responsible, kind, loving boy, but not all that social. But I just supported him any way I could. They first needed a signed form from their teachers...check! That one was easy. Next, was the poster. Logan actually thought of this slogan a year ago when his cousin ran for officer...
It was all him. The picture, slogan, everything, which was kind of funny to my because it's not really his character. But this was his race, his way...
Next was the 2 minute speech (queue another panic attack). He insisted on wearing a suit, so we went out the night before and got him one for his 12th birthday that was the next week. Got him a new hair style, and he wrote and memorized his own speech. He did a great job! It took a lot of nerve and I'm so proud of him :)
Since they're going from elementary to jr. high, they only take one student from each school. Logan wasn't that person, but he took it well. It was SO good for him. I'm a happy mom :) :)

What a brave kid!!! I hated it when my girls put themselves out there and were rejected. Painful!! I looks so handsome in his suit!
