Usually our anniversaries consist of Frank bringing me flowers on his way home from work, and going out to dinner. Nothing fancy, no surprises. We like it. This year for some reason I had a bug to do something a little more sentimental for Frank (and me). So here's what I came up with...
THE FRANK AND SUZ 15-YEAR TIME CAPSULE
(INCLUDES THE YEAR WE DATED)
So there were 15 gift bags.
In each gift I included a different weird card (ie. get well soon, our deepest sympathies, happy 1st birthday, happy retirement....) Inside the card I wrote down 5 major things that happened that year for us. Frank used to give me flowers with total random cards when we were dating :)
I also included a picture or two from that year,
a small gift symbolizing that year,
and a tag on the front that told him what time to open it.
The morning of our anniversary, I followed him to work, and lined them against the wall in his office, and told him he would need to open one each our as indicated on each bag.
For example,
the 1997 bag had a tag "open at 8 o'clock am", inside, there was this card
The five facts that year were:
Avacados & Cookies n Cream
(since he used to leave these on my bed since I couldn't afford them myself)
Doing my homework
(because I was too lazy to do it myself)
Thoughful cards with bizzarre messages
Bob Marley
(what we'd listen to when we'd go hang out at First Dam
Pathfinder
(his precious Pathfinder. When he let me drive it I knew he liked me A LOT!)
the card also had this picture inside:
(me and Frank on the "Deer Hunt" with his family)
For the gift, I gave him an avacado and Cookies & Cream Chocolate Bar.

It was pretty fun putting it together. Thank goodness Frank has kept record of every receipt since the day we were married. I used that to refresh my memory for the years before digital cameras when I hardly took any pictures.
He brought me flowers, we went to a nice dinner, and he gave me this beauty...
(excuse the grainy pic, he took it with his phone)
After we got the kids to bed we went out for a little night time bike ride...way fun!
THANKS FRANK!!!...for a fabulous 15 years :) :) :)
