Kaysville Brown

Logans sport of choice has been soccer for as long as I can remember. He dabbles in basketball, and even did baseball a little, but soccer was his thing. We have kept him on his Bountiful team even though we moved to Kaysville because he had such a great thing going. Same coach and team for years.

Well, the coach decided to call it quits so he could coach his other son, so the team was dissolved.  Logan tried out for one competition league, but didn't make it :(  We were at a crossroads, so Logan decided this would be as good of time as any to try football.  To be honest, I was more than a bit concerned.  #1, Logan didn't seem aggressive enough for that kind of contact sport, and #2, All these boys have been playing since they were 8.  I felt like he was a little to old to "try it out", but he was sure, so we went with it.  Football is a draft so there are three coaches for his age group.  Logan was picked by coach Toone.  I was re-thinking my support when I saw him on the line against boys twice his size.  I nearly ran on that field to whisk him away to safety!

It turned out to be a really great thing for Logan.  Great coaches, great team, great kids!

The league started with 64 teams, cut to 32, then 16, then 8, then 4, then 2!!  Logan's team made it to the mini bowl held at Weber State University, where they fought a good fight, but were unfortunatley defeated :(  But a huge accomplishment, nonetheless.

WAY TO GO KAYSVILLE BROWN!!

I can't believe how stinking cute Logan is, and what awesome pictures these are! You are such a brave Mom for letting him play football. I'm so glad it turned out well!
